Welcome to the 2008 Cricket season. Although we expect this to be a challenging year both on and off the field, it is a year that we should all be looking forward to. Our principal objectives are to establish the 1st XI in the SEPL Division 2 (and avoid doing a “Derby”) and to attain the Clubmark accreditation which will enable us to continue in Division 2 next year and hopefully enable the Club to attract additional funding. Also key is the continued pursuit of sponsorship for the club. The cost pressures on our club are substantial and the Committee is looking to every member to identify new sponsorship or to contribute in whatever way they can to reduce the club’s financial overheads. So let’s all go that extra mile this year to help out the Club that gives us so much enjoyment.
