Blank weekend as English summer fades
No league games were played this weekend as the heavens opened over Hampshire. Let's hope it stops raining by next weekend where important fixtures await.

1s rely on Muppet Show to handbag Havant
While the top order had stage fright chasing Havant 2s modest total of 97 (Glen Williams 3/16), Colin 'Muppet' Lye weighed in with 35 invaluable runs to see HNBCC home by 1 wicket.
As for the rest, vacation depleted 2s, 3s and 4s all went down in disappointing fashion but credit to 'Lovers' for ensuring we were able to put out 4 teams.
On a brighter note, the Club may well boast the highest number of father and son combinations playing in the senior game in Hampshire (more research needed to confirm).

Hook Heat rake over the ashes!
Quite how the Heat managed to lose this one is anyone's guess. Restricting Rowledge to 162, the tie was there for the taking but the Heat game plan seemed to be to win in 10 overs - only one outcome ensued. Hobday and Divechi tried to show the way but perished when well set.
Pictures of the match at Rowledge and wake at HQ.
